preface

Finally, the interior work can begin! In all the past months, I have read a couple of books, countless websites, and searched for a few weeks in countless discussions on web forums. And I had to realize that, sadly, you cannot always learn there, but you can get a lot of confusion too. Especially in the Internet, where anyone can say something, you must be extremely careful.

What I've learned: You have to actually have read EVERYTHING, so you can easily make you a picture of it. And only THEN you can ask the right questions to get the right answers ...

The first step to interior design was done 2 or 3 years ago. Together with some friends we scribbled on many small pieces of paper, how the interior of the van might look like. This has emerged more and more, and at the end (between X-mas and New Year's Eve 2007/2008), I had built a 3D model with Google SketchUp.

The model helped me a lot, because when drawing many design flaws or problems become visible, which I now was able to solve in advance, and not when we are in the middle of the work with the jigsaw. Many people use a model made of cardboards.

Over the next few weeks I will upload the models on the site, but let's start first with the next step: the floor.
