laying carpet

The carpet is ready for laying since days. But before we get the knive, we need a model first.

Idea 1: Create a model with the remaining fleece.
Bad idea: Fleece is thicker than carpet, and too elastic.

Idea 2: Create a model with paper board: much better. It's as thick as the carpet, not elastic but still bendable.

Idea 3: To fill the seams in the floor I wanted to lay pavatex plates under the carpet.
Bad idea: The carpet would get to high and I can not mount the engine cover that way.

Idea 4: Fill seams with filler and glue carpet directly on it.
Good idea: but must be started first!

Idea 5: Before we cut the expensive carpet, we first try it with a cheap one from the hardware store.
Good idea: Bought one for CHF 14.60

window seals

A lot more easier was the mounting of the new seals for the left side windows. Cutting the corner, customising, glueing ends together, install windows, finished.

cutting fabrics for seats

Once again in the tailor studio to cut the fabrics for the new seats. I really hope that my cutting plans are correct, so that later Jasenka doesn't have any problems when sewing.

stereo, tank cap, tarpaulins

Wunderful, the new lockable tank cap fits perfectly. Can't say that with the new mud flaps unfortunately. The wheelhouses are too big.

Installing the stereo. Even if the stereo was delivered with lots of additional parts for mounting, it is still an almost endless loop of "mount-test-unmount-unscrew-customise-screw-mount-test".

Then I cut a new tarpaulin for the rear door, I'll mount that later...
