checker plate, Binford and slatted frame

Happy Birthday!

Werkzeugkasten Binford

I had birthday on Sunday! And what does a real craftsman need in his garage? Right: a Binford 6100 tool trolley!!!

So there's no more doors between the van and the tools, the work may go on!

there should be the bed...

On the same Sunday, I bought a semi-luxury mattress on ebay. 160cm x 200cm is just as comfortable as at home, including individually adjustable head-part and sprung slats! Costs me about CHF 12.50 and a trip to the neighboring village!

cardboard model for later checker plate

Now for the actual work.

I would like to reinforce the entrances of the sliding doors and the tailgate with checker plates. Thus, the paint, and especially the edges of the wooden floor panels will be spared. And it looks cool anyway.

Before I get going with the checker plates, I tested everything with cardboard models. This way you just realize very quickly, where there are problems, and in the end you have a pattern of all the necessary individual plates.
