engine cover with new clothes

The engine cover (the part of the interior between driver and passenger), I unscrewed the last 2 weeks. The lower part is made of thick steel sheet and pasted up with a 2cm-thick insulation material. Sun is damped so the heat of the underlying engine.
It is then screwed the plastic cover.

If not very exciting, but between these two shells I found 2 almost completely burned matches, a lighter, and a 20-centime piece from the 80s.

The engine of the side facing the cover, I have completely free of rust and with an engine / exhaust color for up to 800 ° C in matt black new treatment.
The rubber gasket around it was made with silicone grease again somewhat pliable.

I painted the outer plastic shell with the same color as the rest of the interior from the van.

Then remained only the "ears" of the cover, so the brackets to secure the cover on the chassis. I have painted in the red of the vans outside.

The 2 covers of the engine cover.

Afterwards, I would paint the brackets in the same tone as the cover. The contrast does not look as cool as I hoped so.

upholstered of the sun visors

The sun visors are already been taken apart since a few days now.

The inner workings of the sun visor is quite cheap, just a rod, sheet metal around it and stapled to the plate, a thick cardboard.

Now I just need to find a good edge coverage, something like that as the edge protection profiles for car doors.  Fresh ideas are gladly welcome;)
