mud flaps and hifi switch

mud flaps

The mud flaps which I ordered long time ago at US Parts & Cars GmbH are installed now. Andriy helped me a lot, today we have installed the front mud flaps.

Even I ordered the big ones, they didn't matched the wheelhouse because of the widening. So we had to "enlarge" them with some cheap rubber floormat.

hifi switch

A van needs lots of switches and buttons. So I went to Conrad Electronic in Dietlikon: THE paradise for men!

I bought a toggle switch with red LED (and a box of assorted terminal lugs and a stone chip protection foil. I resisted to buy any further gadges, was not easy...)

Back in the garage I removed an old unused switch and mounted the new one. Ignition runs through it, this way I can switch the stereo on/off without the keys.  The red LED is so bright, that it is possible to recognise if it is on or off from the back of the van...
