building the bandpass-case

At the beginning of the month we finished the case for the bandpass-speaker.  The volume of 75l must somehow match beneath the bed. But because the woofer itself was too big, we had to mount it diagonal twice, which was not the easiest task that day... at the end we came to the solution that it needs a rhombic shaped board.

Correct name for the speaker: double vented bandpass box:

  • double vented: vents in both chambers (vents in the front and in the back of the woofer)
  • Bandpass: allows only a narrow frequency range

Here the pictures:

installing and connecting the stereo

Power cables are layed on the other side of the van than the hifi-cables, so no interferences should occur.
