installing the loudspeakers

cutting, grinding, drilling, sandpapering, sawing...

Today it was finally a dry Saturday. We had to move the appointment for intalling the loudspeakers two times because of the bad weather.

The garage from Peach and Beat from Steffen Car Hifi is just too low for the van, that's why we had to work outside.

We worked from 10:00 to 16:30. The sheet metal was extremly thick, and we had the big luck that the loudspeakers fitted entirely into the door frame. There is more additional sheet metal in it than you can think of, as well as the window mechanics.

Here are all the steps:

Same procedure for the other side... ;)

Everything is prepared now. Next week I will replace the foils inside the doors and connect the loudspeakers. The cables from the amp are already waiting behind the driver seat.
