laying the PVC-floor
we now have noticed how to get a lot of visually with little effort. But first, from scratch:
The big question has long been: What kind of flooring should be in the van. First, it must look cool so you can show it at U.S. car meetings, but it also must be robust so that we can go camping and traveling.
My compromise: The lowest layer directly on the wooden board is an inexpensive PVC covering. This is waterproof and rugged and includes just the gaps between the boards. If the PVC coating will break, I can buy a new one, price is low and you can cut it in 15 minutes. I put this PVC covering on the entire surface, including under the bed. Thus, the wooden plates are preserved when material moves under the bed.
Later, I will lay a car carpet in the actual living area.
Today we bought the 2x4 meter large PVC mat with pale parquet pattern at the construction market. For cutting, we laid the mat with the upside-down on the garage floor and did the same with the wooden panels. So we had a 1:1 pattern for cutting. A perfect fit.
