Stapling leatherette onto furniture

So, what happend in February?

We stapled alot of leatheterre to the furniture. The kitchen cabined needs some new hinge because with so much leatherette around the wood the doors don't slide anymore.

The long cabinet on the left is also done.

paint, brush, roll

Everything in the van which is visible an white should get the same color as the leatherette.

  1. Grind sheet metal / plastic ("Scotch"), you just take the yellow-green Scotch-sponge from the kitchen. The rough side of the sponge is sufficient for my purposes. Coarse sandpaper would later cause visible scratches.
  2. Silicone surface treatment (Because we do not know what lacquer was there before).
  3. Primer on it, there is an additional anti-rust in it, can also be used for plastics. 1h dry.
  4. Paint on it (solvent-based product) if elapses when painting the color is not nice to be diluted with turpentine substitute, let dry 24 hours.
  5. If necessary, leave a layer of paint on it dry again 24
